Preserve Our Parks members are currently working on three improvement projects at Veterans' Memorial Park:

Skating Rink Renovation: Over the past three years, POP members have rebuilt the skating rink at Veterans' Park. Currently, we maintain the rink and help organize a youth inline hockey league at the Park.

Arboretum Project: In 2001, POP members raised over $5,000 to plant 20 new trees at Veterans' Park. Next year, POP will raise money to identify the trees.

Playground Renovation Project: Since 1998, POP members have raised nearly $20,000 to renovate the playground at Veterans' Park. We've installed 10 swings, two climbers, and benches and trash cans at the playground. Next year, POP will raise money to identify each of the species of trees with botanical information on suitable mountings.
